Diane M. Jordan, 71, of West Bend, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Life Care Hospital in Pewaukee.
Diane was born in February of 1947, the daughter of the late Milton A. Jordan and Shirley (nee Schaefer) Jordan, in Racine. She graduated from William Horlick High School in Racine and from UW Whitewater with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She also acquired a Master’s Degree from Cardinal Stritch University. Diane taught 4th grade at Green Tree Elementary School in West Bend from 1965 until she retired in 2005. Diane also worked at Royce’s fabric store and taught many quilting classes there.
Diane was a lover of all things to do with quilting, knitting, and crocheting, but her main love was quilting. She was an avid reader, loved cross country skiing, and did many bike trips around the United States and in Europe. Diane enjoyed card games, golf, camping, board games and taught most of her siblings, nieces and nephews to also love them.
Diane was a faithful member of St. James Episcopal Church in West Bend where she was very active as a reader and involved in numerous church activities.
Those Diane leaves behind to cherish her memory include her five siblings, James (Bobbi) Jordan, Kay (Mark) Anderson, William (Brenda) Jordan, Kathleen Findley, and Jenifer (Erik) Linske; 13 nieces and nephews, Zachary (Ruizhi Liu) Jordan, Lori (Michael) Straka, Stephanie Andersen, Robyn (Paxton) Friedrich, Dana (Eric) Babington, Ryan (Melissa) Findley, Joel (Cindy) Findley, Jeanne (Geoff) Lousao, Glenn Jordan, Lauren (Adam) Vogel, Matthew Linske, Mariah Linske, and Christian Linske; many great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many close friends.
