Jim Rieser
James W. Rieser FRANKSVILLE – James W. Rieser, 69, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Saturday, December 26, 2015. Jim was born in Racine, the son of Wallace and Geraldine Rieser. He married Donna Rieser, celebrating 44 years of marriage. Jim was a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine for a rewarding 41 years. For the past 25 Years he and Donna owned the Forest Home Animal Clinic in Franklin. Jim was creator of Shooting Starr‘s G.S.P.’s, breeding over ten generations of puppies, selling them throughout the United States and Canada. He was an active member of many pointing dog clubs and organizations. Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter and was an avid proponent of youth involvement in hunting through the Friends of Poynette Organization’s Learn To Hunt programs. He was very dedicated to passing forward the joys of upland hunting with well-trained bird dogs. Jim is survived by his wife, Donna Rieser; sons, Scott Rieser and James W. (Crystal Cichon, D.O.) Rieser II. Jim is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends across the country. He was preceded in death by his special daughter in Heaven, Kristin Rieser and by his parents. Funeral services for Jim will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kristin Rieser Scholarship Fund at the University Of Wisconsin Veterinary School: University of Wisconsin Veterinary School Foundation.
