Pass away Monday, January 4, 1993, at her home in Chandler AZ, having recently moved from Salt Lake City, Utah, where she had resided for the past 12 years. She was born November 16, 1947 in Racine, and was a 1965 graduate of Horlick High School. She was a teacher of high school English, French, and Social Studies, briefly in Kenosha, and most recently in Salt Lake City. She attended UW-Whitewater receiving her BA in 1970. She earned her MA in Women’s History Studies at Goodard College, Boston Campus, in 1975. She did post-graduate work at the University of Utah, and was the Debate Coach for Cyprus High School from 1985 to 1991, earning the distinction of the Blue Key Award, the highest award bestowed by the National Forensics Organization. She had been an active member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Chandler, teaching high school religious education and communication seminars for parents and teens. She is survived by three brothers, David (Janet) Raffini of Racine, John (Rosie) Raffini Jr of Poynette, and James (Carol) Raffini of Whitewater; three sisters, Yvonne Raffini of S. Milwaukee, Jeanine (Rick) Fassl of Whitewater, and Renee (Tony) Yezer of Bethesda, MD; 14 nieces and nephews; and seven great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Raffini Sr. in 1969, and Clara (Urli) in 1979.
