Pam 'Pamela' Lee Johnson

RACINE—Pamela Lee Johnson, 60, on Monday, September 3, 2007, with family and friends by her side, lost her battle with cancer and was carried home by her loving Lord. Pam was born on 9 July 1947 in Racine to the late Clayton C. and Ruth M. (nee: Pinnow) Lee. Pam married Rodger A. Johnson on 14 February 1970. They have a daughter, Jennifer and granddaughter, Megan. Pam, the baby sister of Clayton (Carol) Lee, Nancy Litrenta, JoAnn (Robert) Kandl, all of Racine, caring Aunt to many nieces and nephews and fantastic friend to all who crossed her path. Pam was baptized, confirmed, and married at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Racine, where she filled in for the church secretary for many years. She became a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Racine, and served the church and school as an avid volunteer in many areas, not limited to the Alter Guild, payroll master, secretary, room parent, grandparent room parent, librarian, Editor and Publisher of the Parent Guide Book for many years—you asked here—she did it above and beyond.

In her formative years, she was actively involved in the Salvation Army Girl Guard, where she learned and applied many life lessons. She was a graduate of Wm H. Horlick High School, Class of 1965 and Gateway Technical Institute in 1966. Pam worked in here earlier years as an Executive Secretary for Case Company. The she worked for Orth Real Estate and obtained her realtor’s license. She was well known as the “Condo Queen” of Spring Creek. The main focus in Pam’s Life was Wife, Mom, and Grammie. She loved using her talents of knitting, crocheting, sewing, and, especially, cross stitching. Many family and friends were the recipients of beautiful and thoughtful gifts. Pam will be missed by family and friends whose lives she touched in so many ways, with all her love, support, and Christian friendship, as we know her faith prevails!

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, 6 September 2007 at 7 pm with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, Pam requested memorial funds be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church Elevator Fund at 2065 Geneva Street, Racine WI 53402.
